Plant to Plate: A Day of Garden-Enhanced Learning in Humboldt

We had such a wonderful time leading our Plant to Plate Workshop at Grow Together in Eureka, CA! Educators gathered for a full day of hands-on activities, research-based learning, and plenty of inspiration for connecting kids to nutritious food.

From tracing the journey of food in “Manure to Meadow to Milkshake” to exploring the colors of nutrition in “Eat a Rainbow,” participants cooked a seasonal garden-fresh snack, practiced engaging tasting activities, and even sang “Dirt Made My Lunch.”

Thank you to our friends at Grow Together and to all who joined us in celebrating the power of gardens to connect kids with healthy food and joyful learning! We look forward to leading more workshops like this around the nation. 🌿
