Lessons Bloom in the Garden

We hosted a curriculum workshop in the Life Lab Garden Classroom, where educators spent the day exploring how the garden can bring core subjects to life.

From math in the garden beds to English language arts under the trees, every lesson tied learning to the natural world around us. Teachers tried out activities like mapping a garden bed, taste-testing veggies, and even making aguas frescas while connecting it back to science, English language arts, math, and social studies.

The workshop wrapped up with plenty of new ideas, fresh inspiration, and a reminder that the garden isn’t just for plants; it’s a classroom buzzing with discovery, creativity, and joy.
