The Life Lab Growing School Gardens Summit Team is growing something BIG!
November 2025
Planning is in full swing for the 2026 Growing School Gardens Summit, hosted by Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, and we’re thrilled to share some exciting updates! This February, more than 650 school garden champions will gather in Phoenix for three inspiring days of learning, connection, and celebration.
The Summit planning committee, led by Life Lab's John Fisher, is hard at work shaping a vibrant and engaging experience for attendees. Life Lab’s Whitney Cohen is co-leading the workshop selection process, helping to cultivate a diverse lineup of sessions designed to support educators, advocates, and partners across the school garden movement. With the leadership of Sprouts, Life Lab, and the SGSO Network, and the collective energy of the national school garden community, the Summit will strengthen efforts to bring more students into school gardens—learning in ways that spark curiosity, confidence, joy, and wellbeing in outdoor classrooms across the country.
We’re also delighted to announce that our keynote speaker, Radha Agrawal, is officially confirmed. Radha is a dynamic entrepreneur and the Co-founder, CEO, and Chief Community Architect of Daybreaker, a global wellness movement with nearly half a million members across five continents. Her energy, creativity, and passion for building community promise to inspire and energize everyone at the Summit.
Attendees are already getting excited. Ali Locker, Director of Elementary Teaching & Learning for Waukee Community School District, shared: "We will be sending a team from Waukee, Iowa to the Summit this year! I almost can't fight my tears as I type this … I can't wait to see what we are able to do as a result and as we create "passion-and-knowledge-capacity" in this work."
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building an unforgettable summit experience for our community!
